To my one and only
Eternal
Beneath the belly of the skies
A fond seedling grows
And where it sprouts
Green. Green. Green.
Seedbed of the rose.
The ephemeral city lights
Just go round about me
And where I sit in the center
Wind. Wind. Wind.
The loops behind the tree
But so dry the night of the tempest
That mists fraught in my heart
City lights drenched in tears
Moan. Moan. Moan.
I plead you must not depart!
And whisper through my soul
The eyes that know its misery
I will heal with my touch
Flow. Flow. Flow.
Against the shrill of undulating clutch-
Beneath the belly of the skies
Two lovers sit
In the center- in the arena
Red. Red. Red. Blossoms of my love
Spring eternal by the green rotunda.
